Interior designer:
  • Interior design is a broad ranging profession taking into account all aspects of planning and designing interior spaces in the built environment. 
  • The work is to study color and fabric, computer-aided design (CAD) training, drawing, space planning, furniture design, architecture and more .The role of any two interior designers can vary greatly.
  •  They can design the lighting or light fixtures,design and specify the plumb ling fixtures,hardware and supervise fabrication of custom furnishings,as well as monitor and manage the construction and installation of the design .
  •   They can help design and renovate interiors, right from drawing up the initial floor plans to placing the last decorative accent. They don't just enhance the look , they enhance the function of a room.
  •  Interior designers often work closely with architects and contractors to help achieve the look the client desires, whether that client is designing a residential home, an office, a hotel, or any other interior space.
Interior decorator:
  • Interior decorators don't need to have formal training or schooling because decorators focus primarily on aesthetics.
  • Decorators don't generally take part in renovations or structural planning.
  •  They can help clients decide on a style, choose a color scheme, purchase furniture, and accessorize. 
  • They're often brought in to spruce up an existing space that needs to be updated or redone.
  •  Decorators don't generally work with any contractors or architects since often any structural work is complete before they come on board. 
  • They do however work with furniture makers, upholsterers, and other industry professionals.
  • A Decorator is mainly preoccupied with interior finishes and existing surfaces- they deal with embellishment and enhancement. 
  • They typically work with surface decorations such as paint, wallpaper, fabrics, furnishings, lighting, carpets, rugs . 
  • They work with style and mood. They do not move walls or add any structural change of the space, but will help beautify a space when no structural change is needed. No need for formal education.
   Interior architecture:              Interior architecture is the balancing of the art and science of designing an interior space taking into account all elements of the build. However, a designer with training in interior architecture cannot call themselves as such unless they have the professional accreditation from an architectural body.
